Our state of the art, digital x-rays allow us to take quick, easy bitewing and peri-apical x-rays that appear instantly before your eyes on a computer screen. Digital x-rays also mean less radiation for the patient. In fact, our digital check-up x-rays deliver less radiation than you would receive soaking up the sun's rays on our beautiful beaches, flying on an airplane, or talking on your cell phone! A visual inspection alone, cannot detect most cavities that are between teeth, under the enamel, and beneath old fillings and crowns. It is important to find problems early, before a root canal, a crown, or an extraction might be neccessary. X-rays are one of the most useful tools available to Dr. Murphy to ensure your family's oral health. This preventative maintenance enables us to catch decay while it is small enough to use conservative treatment options and allow us to spare you the pain and expense of an absessed tooth. Yearly checkup x-rays are neccessary to look for areas of decay, infection, bone loss, periodontal disease, wisdom teeth, and proper eruption of adult teeth in children.

By the time the problem is large enough to cause a "toothache", it usually requires more complex treatment. Catching problems early, allows us to provide you with the most conservative options and allows us to preserve as much of your natural tooth structure as possible. Keeping your natural teeth for life is our goal! Don't let Gum Disease cause your teeth to loosen and fall out! With simple preventative cleanings and measurements of the gums, we can prevent and manage Gum Disease to help you keep your teeth for a lifetime!

We understand that your desire for care doesn't always match your budget. That is why we always try to give you as many options as possible to suit your needs. We offer CareCredit, accept all major credit cards, and will happily file any insurance you have. We are In-Network Providers with Aetna, Cigna and some BlueCross policies. If you have an insurance that we are not in network with, you may still be intitled to better benefits than you think. Simply call our office and ask to speak with Sandy. She will be happy to help you understand your individual coverage.
