Shelley I. Murphy, DMD, PC
Dr. Shelley Murphy was raised in Altamonte Springs, Florida, though her
family roots run deep in the South Carolina Lowcountry. She returned to
Charleston to complete her Undergraduate work at the College of Charleston,
where she was awarded the prestigious Presidential Honors Scholarship. She
graduated with Honors and was admitted to the elite Phi Kappa Phi academic
fraternity. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Dental Medicine at the
Medical University of South Carolina. She has attended courses at the highly
acclaimed Dawson Academy and is a certified Invisalign provider.
Dr. Murphy
takes great pride in her gentle approach to modern Dentistry. She strives to
deliver the finest clinical work in a manner which leaves patients feeling
comfortable and well attended. Dr. Murphy is a proud member of both the
South Carolina and American Dental Associations. Along with attending many
continuing education courses, Dr. Murphy is constantly updating her skills
and knowledge with the most modern techniques, materials, and advances in
Dental Medicine. When an opportunity to join the team at Distinctive
Dentistry appeared, Dr. Murphy jumped at the chance to put down permanent
roots in the Lowcountry. She is proud to call Hilton Head Island her new
home.
Tudor A. Dragulescu DMD
Dr. Dragulescu was born in Europe and came to the United States as an exchange student. He graduated from Wake Forest University in Winston Salem, NC. He earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from The Medical University of South Carolina, College of Dentistry. After graduation, he completed a general practice residency at Carolina’s Medical Hospital in Charlotte, NC. He is now the owner and general dentist of Distinctive Dentistry and has been for the past 12 years on Hilton Head Island.
He focuses on esthetic/cosmetic dentistry, taking pride in offering the finest in patient care. As he established his private practice, Dr. Dragulescu, has continued his education. He constantly acquires valuable experience and training through affiliation with many esteemed dental organizations. He has completed post-doctoral studies at P.A.C.–live in San Francisco, participant in many seminars of Dr. Dick Barnes Group, Misch International Implant Institute, Las Vegas Institute, Medical College of Georgia. He is also certified in CEREC, Britesmile and Invisalign. Dr. Dragulescu has received numerous distinctions of “Top Dentist” from area magazines and publications.
